What do you get when you blend a passion for words, a background in photography and a drive to help women build professional, exceptional, thriving businesses? Well, I guess you get me — Erica Comitalo — a creator of all things written for photographers!
I grew up playing dolphin in the turquoise waters of Pensacola Beach, and, after snagging a degree in Journalism from The University of Florida, I have since meshed my southern, small town vibe with a big city flair that can come only from squishing yourself into a New York City apartment for a couple years. After waving farewell to the north and its cold, long winters (seriously, who needs winter until May? No one. The answer is no one.), I spent two years as a communications director becoming the human equivalent of a pocketknife…but with words. When wedding bells rang in 2017, I decided to scurry out into the great unknown of #ThatFreelanceLife. Today, I write sweet, sweet web content of all shapes, sizes, tones and flavors for photographers around the globe.
When I’m not burning up the keyboard with my weirdly tiny fingers, you can find me hiking in the Smokies with my husband Stephen, trying to read every classic novel ever written, playing fetch with my two cats (yes, you read that right…my cats play fetch), volunteering at a rescue horse barn or watching Wonder Woman for the billionth time.
Helping busy, overwhelmed female photographers tell their stories is a privilege, and I can’t wait to tell a story with you, or teach you how to spice up the content on your homepage, blog or bio. So don’t be shy! Say hello, and let’s get to work!
